Jumbo Seafood, Riverside Point ♥ ♥

 

Years and years and years ago, I had the greatest chili crab meal of my life at Jumbo Seafood, East Coast branch. I brought back with me the restaurant’s table calendar which contained different coupons each month, offering a free plate of appetizer, 10% discount on chili crab, 20% discount on black pepper crab, etc, etc. Every day during that calendar year, I wished so hard to go back to Jumbo, to repeat that ultimate chili crab experience.

It never happened.

The food at Jumbo Seafood Riverside Point branch, it pales in comparison.

 

Felisse and I order the set dinner for 4.

 

Whole Scallop in Golden Nest, Stir-fried Asparagus, Crispy Baby Squid, Marinated Jellyfish
I love the sweet and crispy baby squid.

 

Jumbo Chili Crab - they can’t be serious, this can’t be enough! We order another serving of this Sri Lankan crab in rich chili gravy so we don’t end up fighting. Good but not great.

 

Fried Buns – chili crab’s sidekick. Essential for mopping up all that sauce.

 

Seafood Fried Rice – could be tastier

 

Sweetened Yam Paste with Cream of Corn and Gingko Nuts – blah

 

Next time, we’re sticking to the East Coast branch.
